ABOUT

The Howard County Chinese Cultural Center (H4C) is part of the Howard County Chinese School (HCCS), a non-profit organization that has promoted Chinese culture and language through high-quality educational and cultural classes since 1998.

The primary mission of the H4C is to host local cultural events in Howard County so our community can experience Chinese art and culture throughout the year.

Education

Launched in 1998 with 80 students the Howard County Chinese School has been part of Howard County for almost two decades.  HCCS is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious school established to promote Chinese culture and language through high-quality educational and cultural classes. The school also serves as a link between parents and the Chinese community.

Classes are offered on Saturdays at Centennial High School, and Sundays at Howard Community College, with a total enrollment of over a 1,000 students. HCCS is a member of the Chinese School Association of the United States (CSAUS).

Cultural Events

H4C and HCCS hosts three major annual events:  The Lunar New Year Gala, Asian Pacific Heritage Month Celebration and the Autumn Festival Celebration.

H4C hosts smaller events throughout the year at Howard County Public Libraries and other smaller venues for performances, exhibitions and presentations by local artists.

H4C is a volunteer run organization by HCCS staff, parents and artists.
